John Warren comments: "Fifteen riders arrived at Franktown for our last 40k TT on the County Road 10 course. Cold 13C, sunny with NW 20 winds. All riders finished, The fastest overall was Chris Reid (RwR) in a time of 57:54. Fastest from ABC, and fastest ABC female was Dianne Marleau in a time of 68:51, a new ABC female course record. Fastest female was Kelly Knowles (OBC) with a time of 60:36. Rob Sullivan improved by almost 16 minutes in a time of 71:05. Avery Burdett and Darlene Yee rode their fist TT on this course."
Celia adds: With gusty side winds from the north, today's time trial was difficult, especially on the return leg. Several of us were more than 5 minutes slower on the way back. Regardless, two riders, Chris Reid and Rob Sullivan managed to improve upon their previous 40km database best! Chris Reid (57:54 41.451 km/h), the fastest rider of the day, took almost a minute off of his previous database best, but the most improved, by a long shot, was Rob Sullivan (1:11:05, 33.763 km/h) who took close to 16 minutes off of his first 40km attempt this year on the Calabogie course for an 82.7% cube speed improvement!!! Rob is in his first year of riding time trials and his huge improvement is a result of improved fitness along with a really fast new bike. Congratulations Rob and Chris. Congratulations also to Dianne Marleau for being the only person to improve upon her previous best on the Franktown course.
